SCULPTURE: "Running Bot"

What's a guy to do when it's been cold and raining for the last couple of days? How's about make another robot sculpture! This "Running Bot" is loosely based on a sketch I noodled many years ago. The components are made from my collection of odd bits and junk.

 

SCULPTURE: "The Sentry"

I love robots...all shapes and sizes. It's been a while since I've made one of my "junk bots", constructed from all kinds of bits that I collect. This one is called "The Sentry"...a diligent little guy who has been long forgotten from days of future-past. I suppose that the bluebird is the sentry now.

 

SCULPTURE: "Sea Breacher"

 

I just finished a fun project today. This sea-creature was inspired by the long quills and stripes on the body of a "Lion Fish". I also imagined that this thing was having fun breaching the water like a porpoise. My initial sketch had a long tail, instead of humanoid legs with flippers...but I decided to keep it simpler. The quills were made with wire and masking tape so they would stay flexible.
