SCULPTURE: "Land Speeder"

 

 

It's been a while since I've done a "scratch build" of something. So I decided to do a "Land Speeder" inspired by Star Wars. Since everything is made from pieces of junk that I collect, it is always fun to discover bits that come together. The craftsmanship is not super clean. I'm just too impatient to be as precise as others might.

 

SCULPTURE: "Creaturaffe of the Black Lagoon"

 

Today, I finished up another fun little experiment based one of my all-time favorite movies..."Creature from the Black Lagoon". I thought it would be fun to see if I could do a mash-up of something other than a mutated humanoid. So in my little brain...the obvious choice was a GIRAFFE...a "Creaturaffe". I also wanted to experiment with making a diorama with swampy water effects, without using a ton of expensive epoxy resin (which I've never tried using before). Many of the resin sculptures I've seen look cool, but they often lose details on the sculpted things under the "water". So...here's what I ended up with.

CHALK ART: "Postcard #35"

Just finished a new postcard. At least chalk doesn't wilt in the heat!  UPDATE...I made an update on the original chalk art, to squeeze a little more life out of it. See it below.
