CHALK ART: "Postcard #44

 Thought I'd do a quick little postcard to reflect the crazy weather we have at this time of year.

 

SCULPTURE : "Frog Flyer"

Time to show my latest sculpture project..."Frog Flyer"! This was inspired by a chalkboard drawing I did for my neighbors back in 2020. It was a bit more time consuming than I anticipated...which just proves, once again, that I have a "faulty anticipator". I had fun searching for bits and pieces from my junk collection, as well as finding cheap stuff from Target and a couple of hobby stores. I also created some parts from wood, where needed. The frog was done in "Sculpey Clay-Medium", with an armature of wire and aluminum foil.

 

CHALK ART: "Postcard #43"

On this cold, dreary, wet weekend in February, I decided it was time to do another chalk "postcard" to the neighborhood. So I bundled up and worked on it in my garage. I just finished a sculpture project with the same theme and decided to do a variation in chalk.

 

SCULPTURE: "Roo Rider"

I just finished my latest sculpture project..."Roo Rider"! This one was 22 years in the making!! I found a sketch from 2002 and decided it would be fun to see what I'd do with the concept now. The original approach was more "cartoony" in style...I drifted towards a bit more realism for whatever reason.
