CHALK ART: Postcard#29

 It's finally time for another CHALK "Postcard to the Neighborhood"...#29 in the series. I finished this one tonight while in my garage, because it is wet outside...and dark. While you might be having some pleasant weather where you live, this postcard is a gentle reminder to be patient. Hold off on planting those gardens for a couple more months.

 

SCULPTURE: "Stegoroostaur"

 

Word on the streets is that dinosaurs are related to birds. I've seen images where some folks have put a photo of a Chicken's head onto a T-Rex body (or the other way around). I thought it might be goofy fun to do a sculpture mash-up of a 4-legged dino. Here is my "Stegoroostaur". He even has "vestigial wings". (Google it...ha!)

 

SCULPTURE: "THINos"

 

I'm a big fan of Marvel comics and movies. Currently, the theme of the "multi-verse" is front and center (where multiple versions of the universe co-exist simultaneously). For a while, I've been wanting to sculpt one of the most powerful galactic villains out there: the Titan THANOS. Only with a goofy twist...here's my "what if" variant...a skinny dude with a bad attitude.

 

 

 

SCULPTURE: "Warthog Mini-Masks"

 I'd like to show you a little project I just finished up. In 2018, I made a paper mache mask of a WARTHOG for my studio wall. Five years later, I wanted to see if I could sculpt a "mini mask" version of it. After the initial sculpt was done, I made a mold and cast copies to give to a couple of my friends. Each mini-mask got a unique paint job, based on a few of their favorite colors.
