GARDEN ART: "Bird Train Feeder"

 

I finished a new project for my birdies today. I found some pre-made wood items (a little Choo-Choo, and some gazeebos) at a hobby store. I upgraded the simple train engine, and built everything else.

 

 

SCULPTURE: "Lightsaber"

 

Tonight, I finished a quick little project after a friend suggested that I scratch-build a LIGHT SABER. So...I headed to the basement looking for scraps of junk, and here's what I ended up with. I painted it to look old and well-worn. (Sorry...no actual laser blade shoots out of the top.)

I just cranked out a new postcard for the kiddos heading back to school this week.

 

SCULPTURE: Cowboy Head #1

I love Westerns and Cowboys. I decided to goof around with a mini-series of some of the "types" you'll find in classic TV shows and movies. This one is called "The Stare-down". Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef made this a standard feature in most of their films. I chose to paint these head studies in tones of black and white (like everything was on TV back when I was a kid).
